
In Auckland, services are provided under a Memorandum of Understanding with the Auckland International Seafarers Centre, with funding from Maritime New Zealand.
Maritime Welfare Ltd provides the services of three chaplains to provide ship-visiting, and general welfare services to seafarers on ships in the port of Auckland. The chaplains man the centre in the evenings and are available on-call.

October 2024 - The Captain of the AFRICA SWIFT requested a Mass onboard. Our chaplains, working with the local Stella Maris group and Father Glenn of St Patrick's Cathedral, were pleased to organise the service. Particular thanks to Stella Maris Auckland volunteer, Philip Gabriel (right front).
